Jim Carrey odottaa saavansa Tom Cruiselta turpaan – Taustalla ensi viikolla ilmestyvä ”paljastuskirja”, jossa Mission: Impossible -tähti on mukana

Jim Carrey on kirjoittanut Dana Achovin kanssa esikoisteoksensa Memoirs and Misinformation, joka ilmestyy ensi viikolla.

Memoirs and Misinformation on fiktion muotoon väännetty kertomus Jim Carreyn todellisesta Hollywood-urasta. Ajatuksena on, että kaikki on enemmän tai vähemmän totta, mutta henkilöitä ei välttämättä nimetä suoraan.

Mitä ilmeisimmin Tom Cruisen voi kirjasta kuitenkin tunnistaa, sillä The New York Timesin haastattelussa Jim Carrey kertoo olevansa valmis turpasaunaan, kun Cruise on Memoirs and Misinformationin lukenut.

Tom Cruisea edustaa Jim Carreyn teoksessa hahmo nimeltä Laser Jack Lightning.

”Revimme sillä [hahmolla] huumoria Hollywoodin käräjöimishalusta. Tunnen Tom Cruisen. Hän saattaa tirvaista minua, mutta otan kyllä turpaan taiteen nimissä. Uskon kuitenkin että Tom tulee rakastamaan kirjaa”, Carrey kommentoi pilke silmäkulmassa.
