Uudesta Taru sormusten herrasta -elokuvasta esitettiin ensimmäinen maistiainen: ”100 % linjassa Peter Jacksonin trilogian kanssa”
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim julkaistaan näillä näkymin 12. huhtikuuta 2024.
J.R.R. Tolkienin luoma Taru sormusten herrasta -maailma tekee paluuta valkokankaille. Kenji Kamiyaman ohjaama The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim -niminen anime-elokuva julkaistaan ensi keväänä.
Elokuvan kerrotaan sijoittuvan aikaan ennen Peter Jacksonin ohjaamia Hobitti- ja Taru sormusten herrasta -elokuvia. Siitä on nyt näytetty varhainen maistiainen Annecy Film Festivalin vieraille, uutisoi Comic Book, ja kommentit ovat olleet varsin suopeita.
Elokuvan kerrotaan muun muassa olevan ”sataprosenttisesti linjassa Peter Jacksonin trilogian kanssa” huolimatta siitä, että se on toteutettu animen keinoin. Toisessa kommentissa sitä kuvataan “Lord of the Ringsin ja animen täydelliseksi liitoksi”.

Elokuvan äänirooleissa mukana on Jacksonin trilogian Eowynin roolista tuttu Miranda Otto sekä muun muassa Brian Cox, Gaia Wise, Luke Pasqualino, Lorraine Ashbourne, Yazdan Qafouri, Benjamin Wainwright, Laurence Ubong Williams , Shaun Dooley, Michael Wildman, Jude Akuwudike, Bilal Hasna ja Janine Duvitski.
