E3: Rock Band 2 tulee AC/DC:n ja uuden Guns’n’Roses-musan myötä
Rock Band II oli näyttävästi esillä Microsoftin lehdistötilaisuudessa, sillä Harmonixin Alex Rigopoulos esitteli pelin soundtrackia ja mainosti firman tekemiä kovia kaappauksia. For those about to rock…
Rigopoulos mainosti, että syksyllä aluksi vain Xbox 360:lla ilmestyvä Rock Band II tulee sisältämään 84 raitaa, mikä on alan maailmanennätys. Kun mukaan lasketaan vielä 20 ilmaiseksi ladattavaa bonusbiisiä, tarjolla tulee olemaan heti lonkalta yli 100 biisiä.
Mikäli tämäkään ei riitä, peli ymmärtää alkuperäisen Rock Bandin biisit niin levyn kuin ladattavan sisällön osalta. Pelaajat pystyvät nimittäin siirtämään Rock Bandin levyltä löytyvät kappaleet kovalevyilleen ja näin pelaamaan niitä Rock Band II:ssa. Samaten kaikki Rock Bandille ostetut biisit toimivat sellaisenaan jatko-osassa.
Mutta entä se uusi musiikki? Metallican ja Pearl Jamin lisäksi Rock Band II:ssa tullaan kuulemaan ensimmäistä kertaa AC/DC:tä ja Bob Dylania. Lisäyllärinä Rock Band II tulee toimimaan myös Guns’n’Rosesin uuden ”Chinese Democracy” -levyn kappaleen julkaisualustana. Kovaa kamaa, siis.
Rock Band II tullaan luonnollisesti näkemään myös PlayStation 3:lla, mutta Microsoftin lunastaman ajastetun yksinoikeuden myötä vasta joskus myöhemmin. Sony kertonee tästä lisää omassa lehdistötilaisuudessaan.
