Odotettu Batman: Caped Crusader -sarja alkaa elokuussa – ensimmäiset kuvat julkaistu

Varttuneemmille katsojille suunnattu Batman: Caped Crusader -sarja nähdään Prime Videossa.
Prime Video on julkaissut ensimmäiset kuvat varttuneemmille katsojille suunnatusta Batman: Caped Crusader -sarjasta. Suoratoistopalvelu paljastaa myös animaatiosarjan alkavan elokuussa.
Ensimmäinen kuvasatsi esittelee Batmanin lisäksi hahmot Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn, Jim Gordon ja Clayface.
Batman: Caped Crusader -sarjaa puuhasi alun perin HBO Max, mutta se siirtyi viime vuonna Prime Videon puolelle. Amazon tilasi sarjaa saman tien kaksi tuotantokautta.
Sarjan luoja, showrunner ja vastaava tuottaja Bruce Timm kertoi jo aiemmin, että aikoo näyttää sarjassa asioita, jotka olivat liian hurjia hänen vuonna 1992 alkaneeseen koko perheen Batman: The Animated Series -sarjaansa.
Sarjan synopsis kertoo alkuperäiskielellä seuraavaa:
”Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the Batman. His one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.”
Timmin lisäksi sarjan vastaavina tuottajina toimivat J.J. Abrams ja Matt Reeves.
Batman: Caped Crusader -sarjan kaikki kymmenen jaksoa tulevat tarjolle Prime Videoon 1. elokuuta.
