E3dome: PSP pienenee, kevenee ja hukkaa levyasemansa
Kuten jo ennen E3-messuja huomattiin, Sony tuo markkinoille uuden PSP-konsolin. PSP Go tulee myyntiin marraskuun 1. päivänä, yleiseurooppalaisella 249 euron hinnalla. Suomihintaa ei ole vielä varmistettu. PSP Go on suunniteltu uusiksi visuaaleiltaan ja laitteesta on jätetty pois surullisenkuuluisa UMD-levyasema.
PSP Go -konsolissa on 16 gigatavua sisäänrakennettua muistia sekä täysin uudenlainen ulkoasu, muun muassa liukuvalla näytöllä. Uusi PSP jatkaa Sonyn viimeisen puolen vuoden aikana kovasti puffaamaa nettilinjaa, sillä jatkossa pelit, demot ja muut sälät asennetaan laitteelle netin tai lähiverkon kautta lataamalla.
Samaan syssyyn Sony kertoo laajentavansa PlayStation Networkin sisältöjä aggressiivisesti tulevaisuudessa.
