Uusi Judge Dredd -elokuva sai nimen, päähenkilöiden näyttelijät ja juonikuvauksen

Iloisia uutisia Judge Dreddin ystäville. Tulevaisuuden tuomarin elokuvahanke etenee hyvää vauhtia ja kaikesta päätellen luvassa on sarjakuvalle huomattavasti uskollisempi filmatisointi kuin se, jota Sylvester Stallone tähditti 1990-luvun puolivälissä.

Uusi Judge Dredd -elokuva on nimeltään ”Dredd”. Nimiosassa nähdään oheisessa kuvassa synkistelevä Karl Urban (Taru Sormusten Herrasta, Star Trek & Doom) ja naispääosassa Olivia Thirlby (Juno), joka esittää Judge Andersonia. Elokuvan ohjaa Vantage Point -elokuvasta tuttu Pete Travis ja käsikirjoituksen siihen on laatinut Alex Garland.

45 miljoonan dollarilla toteutettavan ja vahvaan R-luokitukseen tähtäävän elokuvan synopsis kuuluu studion mukaan seuraavasti:
